My cat, Skutla passed away this morning. She was 17yrs old (born April 6th 1994) I was there when she was born. although it was almost midnight by the time she was born. I was allowed to be at my best friends house (she had the mother) until all the kittens were born. She was the last, and smallest of the kittens born just before midnight on april 6th, 5 days before my 10th birthday.
She came to our house June 1st 1994 and she has always been my best friend. Having my illness (social phobia) makes it hard for me to make human friends. It’s only recently that I have been able to make some awesome human friends on the internet but even then most of them are on another continent.
So this is a Goodbye to my best friend and sometimes parent Skutla Snældudóttir. I will always love you and I miss you already.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m glad you were able to share this. There are grief groups on line for people that have lost non-human members of their family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have shed a few tears today as my best friend had to have her rabbit put to sleep today – he was only 5 but it did not lesson the pain for her or her children. I am am sending love and hugs across the ocean to you. Michelle (Misha29)
