The Face of Quilting

We Are The Face of Quilting

How often have you heard (or thought) that quilting is just what old lady’s do? I used to think that to, until I found hp-paperpiecing in 2008 and decided to give it a go. Now 3 yrs. later I design my own quilt blocks and have my own website. When people ask me what I do I answer ‘I’m a textile artist, I design and make quilts’ Most people just stare at me and say but you’re so young!

This is one of my favorite (I made it for the 2010 gay pride parade) It is in the gay pride flag colors 🙂

Come on and help us show the world that cool people quilt not only old lady’s and not only females but all kinds of people from all over the world.
I am one of the faces of quilting 🙂

      thanks 🙂

I thought showing one of my corsets would show that we are not just ‘knitted-kitten-sweater’ wearing bunch of weirdos 😛 (not that that makes anyone a weirdo, I think I have one or two of those in my closet)

it really is my favorite corset. I just wish I had more occasions to were it to. As is I only where it ‘Pride-Week’ and new years eve 🙂

I just like that all of the quilters I know have such diverse interests. Some of us also sew, crochet, knit, embroider, costume, cook, etc., etc.!

Great post! I love corsets. This one is beautiful! I’ve made many myself. It’s neat to meet more quilters .. and to find we have corsets in common! YAY!
