Paper Pieced Pattern-A-Day Garden Party Blog Hop!

Hi and welcome to Liljabs.com 🙂
today is my day in the garden party block hop.

When I think of gardens the first thing that comes into my mind is Birds, so I thought it was perfect to make a bird block.

Bluebird
This is Bluebird and it is 10″

But I’m also having a giveaway this week. I’m giving away 2 patterns of your choice from my Craftsy store. there will be 2 winners (randomly chosen) that will each get one pattern. one winner will be drawn from the comments on this post and the other from finished ‘Bluebird’ patterns posted in the garden party flickr group The winners will be announced (and contacted) a week from today on April 13th (I hope you’re not superstitious since it’s a Friday :P)

My husband and I love birds,we have 3 parrots a Blue and Gold MacCaw, Yellow Collar Maccaw and a Quaker parrot. I want to learn how to make blocks of them for a quilt for my husband. I love the bluebird and it will help me make one using everyday birds for my folks who watch birds from their house, and the other for him.

What a pretty little bluebird! My Dad put a bluebird house up in our back yard a couple weeks ago, and that very day, a couple came to check it out. After spending a little time checking it out, they decided to set up housekeeping! 🙂 Now, every time I look out my kitchen window, I see them both perched on my shepherd hooks! What a happy thing! 🙂 Thank you for the chance to win!
