A little bit different from most of my patterns this one has a lot of embroidery. I decided on having the hands embroidered rather than having a block full of tiny paper pieced parts. And it’s good you can bring it outside with you and embroider in the sun 🙂

In other news. Did you know that next Saturday June 21st 2014 is the international quilt in public day.
I will be out of town with my nephew who has his first ‘big’ football (soccer for you Americans) tournament. I’ll probably bring along some small 9 patch blocks I’ve been hand stitching or even my Divergent faction quilt top If I finally decide whether or not I’m going to embroider on it or not. I really want to add some of my favorite quotes from the books but I’m afraid that I’ll ruin the laout with adding embroidery. I’ll put a picture of my (borderless as of yet) top here for you to tell me what you think?

I started reading Veronica Roth’s Divergent just over a year a go and completely fell in love with the series. (I haven’t finished the third one yet so no spoilers plz). I really wanted to make something Divergent related for a long time but never really knew what I should make until the movie and I saw Four’s tattoo I just knew I had to make the Faction symbols.
So for the next few weeks there will be Divergent patterns filling up the front page starting with this one

He may not be my favorite superhero, but he is my nephews favorite. It must be something about getting real mad and wanting to brake things that he likes hihi. Some thing he can relate to at 6 1/2 years.
That means that I had to make his logo
and continuing on with the Avengers theme I have these days I also have Thor. Marvels, Thor Doesn’t really have a logo, not that I could find at least. so I made Mjölnir it seems very like him at any rate.
